Why buy a tree online from Home Prouducts 'N' More?
If you have shopped for Christmas trees online, you have probably noticed that our trees are a bit more expensive. Why? Because we only sell the top grade of Christmas tree as rated by the USDA, which is U.S. Premium Grade. We also do not pre-cut trees. Your tree will be individually selected only AFTER you have placed your order and then cut the evening before or morning of shipment. And because the Fraser Fir is known for its ability to retain moisture and needles long into the season, you can be assured it will be delivered mountain fresh to your front door!

Where do we get the trees we sell?
All of our Christmas trees are supplied by a family owned businesess called The Christmas Tree Company. This family has been a part of the Christmas tree business since 1989 and they take much pride in delivering only the finest quality trees to their customers. They are committed to only the highest standards in growing, harvesting and shipping of Christmas trees.

The Christmas Tree Company grows their trees in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. From selecting seeds all the way to harvest, their crop management team toils to achieve the pefection that all of their customers deserve. When you place your order, a cutting team will select your tree for ideal size shape and symmetry. Trees are typically harvested the evening before or morning of shipment. Only U.S. Premium Grade trees are selected for harvesting. Once the tree has passed a thorough inspection, it is then shipped to your doorstep in a unique seam-stitched, moisture resistant carton that guarantees protection during transport and tree farm freshness upon delivery.

Buying from a local retail Christmas tree lot:
Most folks typically purchase their trees from seasonal tree vendors who have set up shop in retail parking lots, or on vacant lots of land. Some of the trees that appear on such lots could have been cut weeks in advance. If you cannot find a fresh tree on a lot, you must then search out another lot, hoping that your quest for a fresh tree will be fulfilled. Oh yes, one other thing about trees sold on lots, they can also be painted or dyed to hide a dry tree, so be sure to do a freshness test. Once you have selected your tree, you must now transport it to your home. This ususally means you must tie the tree to your car & hope it doesn't scratch your car's paint job. You also have to be careful driving with a tree attached to your car as it may hinder your view of the road.

Buying from a Christmas tree farm:
The other option has been to go to a grower's farm. If you live in the city, this usually means a trip to the country, which means even more time to selecting a tree. If you are going to a tree farm, plan on spending the better part of a day. Wear comfortable shoes & old clothing. Once you find the tree farm, you must then determine where the tree you want will be located on the farm. Some farms will provide people who will help you find a tree, but others may not. Tree farms sometimes will provide you with a saw, but you should be sure to check with the farm BEFORE driving to their location. Once you have found your tree, you get to cut it down. This is usually a two person operation. One person lies on the ground & cuts the tree, while the other person lightly tugs the tree in the opposite direction of the cut so the saw blade will not bind. Next you get to drag your tree to the processing area where it wil be cleaned, netted and tied to your car.
