Today, in the United States, enough Christmas trees are planted that 18 million people a day benefit from the oxygen that those trees supply. Tree growers also do not want to run out of trees to sell, so for every tree they harvest, they will plant one to three new seedlings to take its place. Additionally, Christmas trees are often planted in soil that will not support other types of crops. Christmas tree farms also stabalize soil, protect water supplies as wel as provide a habitat for wildlife. And if that wasn't enough, they are beautiful to look at!
