Spare
Tire Carrier
Spare
tire cariers on pickup trucks can be a pain to use. If you've ever had the misfortune
of getting a flat tire in your truck, you know what we're talking about. Most
truck tire mounts are located under the bed. To get to the spare tire, you must
get under the truck, which means you are laying on the ground. Hopefully you won't
be lying in the mud or snow. Not a problem if you're dressed for it, but it rarely
happens that way. And even if you are, do you have time to monkey around getting
the tire off of the mount? Sometimes they just don't want to cooperate. Will you
have the proper tools in case the tire mount will not release the spare tire?
Some newer truck's tire mounts don't even have a bracket, just a couple of cables
from which a tire is suspended.
The
solution? Mount your spare tire in the bed. Our bed tire mount does not require
drilling or bolting to the frame of your truck. The mount expands to fill
the space between the floor of the bed and the inside of the side of the truck
bed. After using our spare tire carrier, you will never again go back to those
cumbersome under the frame mounts.
