A Preso-Matic deadlatch offers you with the convenience of touchpad entry and the great security of Preso-Matic. All Preso-Matic deadbolts and deadlatches are guaranteed pick proof, jimmy proof, and bump proof (If you've never heard of lock bumping, please click here to read more). The Preso-Matic deadlatch lock features a 5/8" projection latch that locks automatically when the door is closed. (If you need the capability to keep the door unlocked, you'll need to purchase the Stay Open Interior Plate accessory).

How's it work?

From the exterior: Latch retracts automatically when last digit of the combination sequence is pressed. Locks automatically when door is closed.
From the interior: Unlocks by pressing small button at bottom of interior plate. Locks automatically when door is closed.

Choose from a four or seven digit combination (slight upcharge applies for seven digit combination option). Consider this: with a 7 digit combination, there are over 1 million possible combinations. That means that an unauthorized person trying to open the door by randomly pushing buttons would be faced with over 41,000 hours of button pushing, plus having to keep track of all possible combinations---impossible!

Best of all, Preso-Matic products are entirely mechanical, which means you'll never have to replace a battery or worry about an electrical system failing. This deadlatch is approved for use in residential, commercial, institutional, or industrial applications!

For in or out swinging doors (latch bols is reversible)
For 3" backset only
Designed to fit standard 1-3/4" thick door
For doors thicker than 1-3/4" (up to a maximum thickness of 2-1/4"), you will need to purchase an adapter kit
For doors thinner than 1-3/4" (down to a minimum thickness of 1-3/8"), you will need to purchase a spacer plate
Works on either right or left handed door
Available in 6 finishes
Completely bump proof and pick proof
Choose a 4 digit or 7 digit combination (slight upcharge for 7 digit combination option)
Combination will be chosen at random for you
Combination can be changed easily by purchasing a new 4 digit combination slide or a new 7 digit combination slide
Master combination slides are available
Features large buttons that are easy for children or elderly people with arthritis to use
Can be installed in a new door, or retro-fitted to replace your existing deadbolt
