We offer wood, metal, and vinyl trellises in a variety of sizes, styles, and colors to choose from. There are pros and cons to each material choice, so you'll have to carefully consider your needs. Wood is a natural, rustic option that gives you the flexibility to paint or stain the trellis to match your home, fence, or deck. However, wood will decay over time. For greater longevity, metal or vinyl are good options, too. If choosing a metal product to be used outside, be sure to look for a rust-free metal such as aluminum or stainless steel. Copper can also be nice, as it will change colors over time, building up a patina. With vinyl, the primary consideration should be whether the particular product contains a UV inhibitor. Plastics that are not UV stabilized will quickly fade or discolor in the sun. Most vinyl products like patio furniture, pergolas, arbors, and trellises do contain a UV inhibitor, but it never hurts to double check!
