The Charleston mortise storm door lock is the perfect replacement for your old storm door hardware because it will never tarnish! Outside portion features a Guaranteed PVD Lifetime Finish!
How can we guarantee that our PVD finish will never rust or discolor? PVD (physical vapor deposition) is a vaporization coating process whereby a clear coating is transferred to another material (such as a brass storm door handle). A PVD coating on hardware will prevent rust and decay on metals such as brass. Testing to insure the quality of a PVD finish is conducted in salt spray chambers for hours. Our PVD finish products have been successfully tested in salt spray environments for over 1,000 hours, thus the reason we call it our Lifetime Finish.

NOTE:Fits most metal and composite storm doors. Not recommended for use on polypropylene storm doors (example: Forever Door Crossbuck or Traditional models) due to expansion and contraction that is inherent in polypropylene materials.
