The Door Jamb Armor Universal Base Set is for doors with 5 to 12" lock spacing. These sets are used by locksmiths, apartment owners & homeowners to repair or reinforce doors where spacing isn't known beforehand.

Door Jamb Armor Base Sets are not intended to increase the security of your door when installed without a Door Jamb Armor Door Shield. These components are for cosmetic purposes only, such as repairing broken door jambs or covering up damage caused to a door due to a pry-in or kick-in. If you already have a Door Jamb Armor Door Shield installed, adding a Door Jamb Armor Base Set to the door with the Door Shield will give you the full strength of a Door Jamb Armor Combo Set .

If you need a security solution to help prevent your door from being kicked in, you need a complete Door Jamb Armor Combo Set .

This product fits doors with these dimensions:

Includes one universal jamb shield, designed to fit lock spacing from 5" to 12" and jamb thickness of 3/4".(Note: If your house was built before 1950, please be sure to measure your jamb thickness before ordering, as it may vary!)
Includes two hinge shields to fit around your existing door hinges
Includes all screws necessary for installation
All parts are white powder coat painted, and can easily be painted over to match your door
The universal base set can be purchased by anyone who is unsure of their lock spacing (the distance from deadbolt latch to doorknob latch).
