Do you know the proper safety procedures for live Christmas trees?
- Be sure you start with a fresh Christmas tree.
- Make a fresh cut on the trunk of the tree about 1"-2" above where it's already cut. Do this immediately before placing it in your Christmas tree stand.
- Do not use lights with cracked or fraying wires, and do not overload your electrical outlets.
- Keep your Christmas tree far away from flame sources such as fireplaces and candles.
- You should water your Christmas tree at least twice daily for the first three days it is in the tree stand, and daily after that. With a Christmas tree waterer, all you'll have to do is keep the reservoir full, and the waterer will do the rest!
