The main difference between the 2200 surface mount mechanical pushbutton deadbolt lock and the M220 surface mount mechanical pushbutton deadbolt lock, is that the 2200 has a different keypad, allowing for a wider variety of combinations. Also, the 2200 has an outside knob, where the M220 only has a thumbturn on the outside trimplate. The throw of their respective deadbolts or bars are also different. Additionally, the 2200 ships with one long and one short bar, where the M220 only ships with one bar that can be adjusted to either a long or short throw.

Mechanical pushbutton surface mount locks are primarily used on commercial doors and other applications where it is difficult to install a mortised mount lock. For example, if you have an existing metal door and do not wish to replace your current mortised lock, a surface mount lock like this one can be a good option. This lock is also nice if you have a commercial building and have a high employee turnover rate, because you can change the entry code at any time you wish. One of the nice features of this lock is that it comes with both a long and a short bar. This can give you more versatility in where you need to install this lock. The throw of the short bar is 6/8" and the throw of the long bar 2-1/4". Available in a variety of finish colors, your new surface mount mechanical pushbutton lock gives you the security of a bump proof keyless lock with the ability to fit on a thin door or as an additional layer of security on an existing door.

The primary uses for the Lockey 2200 are gates, aluminum storefront doors, liquor cabinets, gun cabinets and safes, and drop boxes. Available finishes include Antique Brass, Bright Brass, Satin Chrome, Jet Black, White, and Red.

Bump proof locks like the Lockey 2200 are unique in that they are not subject to lock bumping or lock picking. The great thing about the 2200 is that it is also a mechanical lock with no batteries, meaning you never have to worry about batteries dying or an electrical problem in the unit. Because it does not have a keyway of any kind, the 2200 is a fully bump proof lock. It is also pick proof for the same reason, no keyway, no picking.
